What a contract BDM is, what it costs, where the businesses come from, whose name is on the messages, what happens when someone replies and how you stop. Grouped so you can jump straight to yours, and answered the same way we answer them on the call.

The four answers owners want first

Short versions here, and the detail in the sections below.

What it costs

1. $3,500 for the pilot

Thirty days, one price. Ongoing work after that is priced by the size of your market.

Your time

2. Thirty minutes a week

Approve the wording once, a weekly catch up, and the meetings. Everything else is ours.

The outcome

3. Booked meetings

Meetings with the person who signs off the work, who has confirmed they want to talk. Never a promise of sales inside thirty days.

Your market

4. Counted before you commit

If your market is too small for a monthly, you hear it before anything is signed.

Cost and commitment

The first questions on nearly every call. If these land the right way, the rest is detail.

What does Win Work cost?
The Thirty Day Pilot is $3,500. Ongoing work after that is $950 a quarterly round, $2,000 a month or $3,000 a month, depending on the size of your market. The Market Read ($795) and website work (from $1,950) are optional extras.
Is the short list on the free call really free?
Yes. We put together a short list of businesses about to need you and take you through it on the call. It is yours whether or not you go any further.
Why pay for the Market Read?
It is optional. It pays for the time and it is useful whether or not you go further. You keep the list and the example emails, and the fee comes off a pilot that starts within thirty days.
Is there a lock in?
No. The pilot is thirty days, so you can get a feel for the service before committing to anything longer. The $3,000 monthly is month to month with thirty days notice, and the $2,000 monthly has an end date agreed in writing at the start.
What if our market is small?
Then you hear it before anything is signed. Under fifty potential clients is priced per quarterly round, with no monthly fee.
Do we need a new website?
Not always. Most businesses look you up before they reply, so on the free call we take a look at your site. If it already explains what you do and makes the next step easy, it may only need a small update.
Can you build our website on its own?
No. Website work is only sold alongside the pilot or ongoing work. Anything else is referred to people who do it well.

How it works

What a contract BDM does, where the businesses come from, who writes to them, and what happens next.

What is a contract BDM?
A BDM, or business development manager, is the person in a business whose job is finding new clients. They find suitable businesses, start the conversation, follow up and book the meeting, so the owner can get on with the work. Win Work does that on contract. We read your market every day, so every conversation starts from something real. The work of a dedicated BDM, without the salary, the hiring or the months of training.
We get enough work from word of mouth
Good. It means the people who know your work rate it. Word of mouth comes in waves, though, and you can’t choose when. We go and find more of the same kind of client, so the quiet months get smaller.
Cold email doesn’t work
Mass email doesn’t. We write to a short list of suitable businesses, one person at a time, about something real happening in their business, and we follow up long after a busy owner would have stopped.
Where do the businesses come from?
From signs a business is about to need what you do. New building approvals, contracts won, leases, licences, expansions, compliance deadlines and job ads, checked every day in your area.
Who writes the messages?
We do, in your voice, for each business. You approve the wording in writing at the start, we never use wording you haven’t approved, and you can see every message sent afterwards.
How many follow ups are sent?
Enough to give every business a fair chance to reply, written for each one and spaced so it always reads as considered, never pushy. Most replies come after the point where a busy owner would have stopped.
Is it all cold contact?
No. Every business is contacted because something is happening there right now, and we follow up until there is an answer either way.
What happens when someone replies?
We reply in your name, answer their questions and book the meeting, with a short brief so you walk in prepared. We let you know straight away and suggest a quick call, because speed wins the job.
What happens to people who do not reply?
We come back to them later, when something new happens in their business that gives a real reason to get in touch.

The method is ours. The results are yours.

What we look for and the result we work to are published here. How each message is built and timed is not, and nor is a client’s name, the name of a business we contacted, or anything written for someone else. Your list stays yours, and businesses contacted for one client are never shared with another.

Your name, your reputation and the rules

What goes out in your name, where it is sent from, and the rules it follows.

I don’t want to sound spammy
Neither do we. You approve every word before anything is sent, nobody on your do not contact list is ever approached, and we never say anything about your business you can’t stand behind. Every email is business to business, sent to one named person it is relevant to, with an easy way to opt out, in line with the Spam Act 2003.
Do you send from our main email?
No. We set up a separate email address that reads as your business, so your main inbox, your invoicing and your enquiries are never put at risk.
How is the outreach email set up?
Carefully, and slowly. It is built up gently before any real messages are sent, so emails land in the inbox rather than junk.
Who owns the domains and mailboxes?
It is set out in writing in your agreement before anything is bought.
We work in a regulated industry.
Every message is cleared before sending. AHPRA advertising rules apply to clinician clients, and financial services clients may need compliance approval of both outreach and website wording.
How are our logins handled?
Every credential is kept in a password vault. Client logins never sit in an email thread.

Meetings and reporting

What counts as a result, when it arrives, and how you see it.

What counts as a booked meeting?
A meeting in your calendar, such as an intro call or a quote, with the person who can say yes, who has confirmed they want to talk.
When do the first meetings happen?
Often in the first week. On a recent pilot, a commercial cleaning business in NSW had three meetings booked in the first three days. Every market is different, so we never guarantee it.
Do you promise sales?
No. Most businesses take weeks or months to sign a contract, so we promise what we control, which is the meeting. You turn up, quote and win the job.
What do we see day to day?
A shared tracker with every business, the reason it is on the list, the exact message sent and where it is up to, open at any hour.
What is in the monthly report?
What was sent, who replied, who booked, what is changing in your market, and what we will do differently next month.
How do we stop?
The pilot simply ends at day thirty. The $3,000 monthly is month to month with thirty days notice. Work in a small market ends when the list is worked through, and we tell you when that is.
